The Well Read Child Book Fairs was created to change the narrative one book at a time. Through our book fair initiatives, books are introduced to elementary-aged students with positive, uplifting, and motivating messages. These books relay messages of strength, beauty, determination, and highlights the uniqueness of people of color.

1. Furqan's First Flat Top by Robert Liu-Trujillo

El Primer Corte de Mesita de Furqan's First Flat Top is a Spanish/English bilingual children's book written by father and talented artist Robert Liu-Trujillo.

Furqan is a 10 year old boy who wants to get his first high-top fade. Furqan and his father venture off to the barbershop for his first visit.
